Content: ..."eight-year old Danny Sampson, a Yakima Indian, being hoisted to safety from swirling Columbia River current, with falls appearing in background. Wielding the dipnet was Archie Bushman, a Umatilla Indian. Danny had fallen into the river from an upstream platform and was rapidly being swept downstream when onlooker's cries alerted Bushman. " "LIFE magazine, using another view of the incident...called the lifesaving catch "miraculous"."
